BNI - The World's Largest Referral Organisation

At a national level BNI New Zealand funds the Hospice New Zealand Palliative Care Scholarship Programme annually and has done so since 2007. Hospice New Zealand is committed to growing leaders in hospice palliative care. With our ongoing support, Hospice NZ is able to continue to offer study scholarships to individuals working in its hospices. Hospice New Zealand’s national priority for the 2016 scholarships is to support the professional development of psychosocial and allied health teams at member hospices.

BNI National Director Graham Southwell is a registered Psychotherapist and is a volunteer counsellor at Dove Hospice.

At a chapter level hardly a month goes by without a chapter putting on a fundraiser for their local hospice somewhere around New Zealand. More recently BNI has started partnering with local hospices – Changing the Way the World Does Business through working in collaboration with the local hospice to raise money on a number of regional events such as:

Nurse Maude Black Tie Dinner  in Christchurch for Nurse Maude Hospice, the Black Friday Casino Event in Palmerston North for Arohanui Hospice and the Absolutely Fabulous Fashion Show in West Auckland supporting Hospice West Auckland
