BNI commenced operations in New Zealand in March 1999 when National Director Graham Southwell chartered the first chapter in Takapuna, Auckland.
Since then, a network of 129 chapters has been established across New Zealand from locations such as Whangarei in Northland to Bay of Plenty, Rotorua, Hawkes Bay, Wellington and Christchurch.
The BNI New Zealand website was launched in December 2000 and has since been adopted across Australia, Canada and part of the USA. Through the website - and in particular the Trade Directory on the website, BNI now offers its members an unprecedented opportunity to network and make new contacts both in New Zealand and Australia. The BNI blog was launched in 2008 and the Social Media site was launched in 2010 - positioning BNI New Zealand at the forefront of the BNI organisation worldwide. |
